About RRR

RRR is an Indian film directed by S. S. Rajamouli and produced by D.V.V. Danayya. The movie stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in the lead roles. The movie is set in the pre-independence era and tells the fictional story of two revolutionary freedom fighters and their quest for equality and self-respect for their people. RRR at Golden Globe Awards

South Cinema’s film RRR created history at the ‘Golden Globe Awards 2023’ award ceremony. The film’s Telugu song ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the award for Best Song. The film RRR’ was released in March of last year.
Let us tell you that in the ‘Golden Globe Awards 2023’ award, the film ‘RRR’ received nominations in two categories, one for ‘Best Film – Non-English’ and the other for ‘Best Original Song – Motion Picture’. The special thing is that the film ‘RRR’ is the first Indian film in more than two decades to be nominated for this award. Earlier in the ‘Foreign Language’ category, the films ‘Salaam Bombay!’ (1988) and ‘Monsoon Wedding’ (2001). Both these films were directed by Meera Nair. Both these films are completely different from ‘RRR’.

Other nominated songs

The other songs nominated under the category were Ciao Papa from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Carolina by Taylor Swift for Where The Crawdads Sing, the Top Gun song ‘Hold My Hand’ by Lady Gaga, and Rihanna’s ‘Lift Me Up’ from Black Panther.
