According to the information released by the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP), a total of 58 lacks 67 thousand 398 candidates have been registered in the UP Board examinations this year. The number of examinees has increased by more than six lakhs as compared to last year. Keeping in view the ratio between the number of board examiners and examinees, the number of examination centres for the board examination has also been increased for the successful conduct of the Uttar Pradesh Board examination and to make the examination copy-free.
How many students are participating?
According to the information released by UPMSP i.e. Secretary of Secondary Education Council, Divyakant Shukla, for the academic session 2022-23, 31 lahks 16 thousand 485 for UP Board’s High School Examination and 27 lakh 50 thousand for Intermediate examination 913 candidates have registered. Where 16 lahk 98 thousand 023 boys and 14 lahk 18 thousand 462 girls are registered in the high school. Whereas, 15 lakh 31 thousand 571 boys and 12 lahk 19 thousand 342 girls have registered for the intermediate examination.
UPMSP is the biggest board in the country and the world.
Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) Secretary Divyakant Shukla told that the UP Board is the largest school education board in the country and the world. This year there has been an increase in the number of board examinees. Because of this, concrete preparations have been completed for the conduct and monitoring of the examinations. Shukla informed that this time 373 more centres have been set up as compared to last year. According to the secretary, in the districts where the number of candidates has increased, the centres have also increased. The districts of Prayagraj, Kannauj and Azamgarh have seen a maximum increase in the number of examination centres. This time the UP board exam will be conducted at a total of 8752 centres in the state.
