Hello Cricket Fans, there was a good match yesterday on the pitch of Pune. Akshar Patel tried till the end but he failed to make the Indian team win. Sri Lanka won the match by 16 runs and made the series level 1-1 as India won first match of the series . From the side of Sri Lanka, the whole team game was shown yesterday, all the batsmen and bowlers did their best to win the match. Arshdeep Singh who bowled 5 no balls in 2 overs is one of the main reasons for the defeat and that’s why captain Hardik Pandya was not looking happy with Arshdeep Singh. Indian opener failed again and couldn’t give a good start to the team.

After winning the toss the team India opted to bowl but couldn’t manage to win. Sri Lanka’s batter played well and set the target of 206 runs. Where team India’s opener failed once again Sri Lankan opener Kusal Mendis made a fifty. He scored 52 runs in only 31 balls. Aslanka and Shanaka also helped him by hitting 37 runs off 19 balls and 56 runs off 22 balls respectively. Not only batters but even Sri Lankan bowlers also did a great job in yesterday’s match. Except for Maheesh Theekshana, every bowler managed to take wickets. Hence, it was a complete team performance from the Lankans that’s why they won and levelled the series.

The opening batters of Team India failed again and scored only a total of 7 runs after wasting 8 balls of the powerplay. It has been a long time since team India’s opener made a good partnership. And this thing remained continued in yesterday’s game. Rahul Tripathi who debuted yesterday against Sri Lanka scored only 5 runs. Hardik Pandya said that Rahul Tripathi was sent ahead of Surya Kumar Yadav because of his debut match. As Indian openers, Indian fast bowling was also failed yesterday. Except for Umran Malik who took 3 wickets all the other pacers couldn’t manage to take even a single wicket. And conceded 12 extra runs also. This was the main cause of India’s defeat against Sri Lanka.

Akshar Patel who was the player of the match in 1st match played well yesterday also. He scored 65 runs from 31 balls with the help of 3 fours and 6 sixes. Akshar and Surya Kumar made a partnership of 91 runs for the 6th wicket. But this partnership also could not help the team India to win the match.

After the defeat in the match, Hardik Pandya said, ‘Arshdeep Singh has thrown no-balls many times before. It is not a matter of accusing anyone, but throwing a no-ball is a crime.
Hardik Pandya said about the match, ‘Powerplay hurt us both during bowling and batting. We made simple mistakes which we should not have done at this level. We should learn the basic things which we can control. You may have a bad day but should not go away from the basics. In this situation, it is very difficult.
