

The hockey world cup 2023 is approaching and India is hosting this world cup. On Thursday Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik who visited Rourkela to inaugurate the World Cup Village at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium Complex in Rourkela announced that each player of the Indian hockey team will get Rs 1 crore if they win the world cup. World cup village took record 9 months to complete. Players thanked and praised the Odisha government for developing a holistic environment for the Hockey players of the nation.
This world cup village has 225 rooms with all amenities befitting the stature of the Hockey World Cup. The World Cup Village will house the teams and officials of the upcoming Hockey World Cup. On this occasion, CM Patnaik interacted with the men’s hockey team who is going to be part of the world cup 2023 where he announces Rupees 1 crore to each player if they win the world cup.
Players thanked and praised the Odisha government for developing a holistic environment for the Hockey players of the nation.
“Each player of Team India will be rewarded with Rs 1 crore if our country wins World Cup. I wish the very best to Team India and hope they will emerge champions,” Patnaik said.
